Internet-based QuickBooks® System Requirements
You can connect to Internet-based QuickBooks through three different paths:
- The Web Login Page
- Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection Client
- Java-based Client
The system requirements for each are listed below.
The Java-based client may be required for printing on some Windows systems due to limitations of Intuit's QuickBooks software.
Web Login System Requirements
- Properly configured Internet connection (56K or higher, broadband recommended)
- A Windows 95 or later-based computer (Windows 98, 98 SE, ME, NT 4.0, or 2000, or XP)
- Microsoft Internet Explorer Browser with ActiveX controls enabled
- 386 or newer Intel-compatible CPU
- At least 4MB available disk space
The client software is downloaded automatically when you login to QuickBooks through our website.
Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection Client
Windows Requirements
- Properly configured Internet connection (56K or higher, broadband recommended)
- A Windows 95 or later-based computer (Windows 98, 98 SE, ME, NT 4.0, or 2000, or XP)
- 386 or newer Intel-compatible CPU
- At least 4MB available disk space

Mac OS X: Microsoft Client
- Properly configured Internet connection (56K or higher, broadband recommended)
- A Mac OS X version 10.1 or newer
- PowerPC CPU
- At least 3MB available disk space
