Mangosoft Corp. released Medley99, a new software product that includes the
company's second-generation Pooling Engine and Cache management to be sold
exclusively through the channel.
The software creates a virtual file server using idle capacity on existing
PCs and combines security, all standard file server features and clustering
technology.
The product is geared toward small businesses that need file sharing, but
cannot handle the administrative tasks tied to network server solutions, said
Eric Walton, president of marketing and sales at Mangosoft, based here.
The product supports Windows 95 and 98 platforms and requires 32 Mbytes of
RAM and a Pentium-class processor.
VARs may register to distribute Medley99 and obtain a trial version of the
