10/19/2000 Business Wire
Waltham, MA - October 19, 2000: Boston-Area Companies Choose StorageNetworks' Enterprise
Data Storage Services To Safeguard Customer Data - StorageNetworks, Inc. (NASDAQ:STOR), the
Storage Service Provider (SSP) for the e-Economy, today announced the expansion of the Powered
program with three Boston-area companies that have chosen StorageNetworks' services to provide
data security and faster access with limited downtime for end users. StorageNetworks is providing
its DataPACS and BackPACS services to Win Win Technologies, Mangosoft , Inc. (NASDAQ: BB: MGOF)
and Revenio, Inc. at Exodus Communications' Boston Internet Data Center.
Through StorageNetworks DataPACS data-on-demand services, Win Win Technologies, Mangosoft and
Revenio will route data over the StorageNetworks Global Data Storage(SM) Network (GDSN) to
ensure that their customers receive quick and reliable online services and access to data,
24 hours a day, seven days a week. The three companies are also using StorageNetworks BackPACS
services, which offer the security of professional, frequent information replication. Usually
stored on magnetic tapes, BackPACS services eliminate the need to conduct costly and time-consuming
backup procedures.
The StorageNetworks Powered program provides StorageNetworks' premier customers access to a
comprehensive suite of joint marketing services. Benefits of the program are the inclusion of
Powered customers in StorageNetworks' advertising, press releases and collateral programs,
access to IT media and analysts, Web site logo placement and joint event participation opportunities.
The StorageNetworks Powered program recognizes customers that have demonstrated outstanding commitment
to the protection, availability, continuity, scalability and security of their data storage
infrastructure.
"Win Win Technologies, Mangosoft and Revenio are consumer-oriented businesses that require services
that are customizable to their individual needs," said Peter Bell, co-founder, chairman and CEO of
StorageNetworks. "StorageNetworks provides these companies with a scalable storage solution required
to maintain the level of accuracy and availability necessary to support extensive and frequently used
data required by the services they provide."
Boston-based Win Win Technologies allows consumers to provide personal profiles that determine
which advertisements will appear each time they log onto their favorite sites. Customers receive
royalties with each interaction they initiate with these personalized advertisements. The benefit
for advertisers is simple, allowing them to reach their targeted audience.
"Secure and flexible data management is an intregal part to our business structure," said
Kieran Clifford, CEO of Win Win Technologies. "Our customers are given total control over their
personal data and StorageNetworks' services can assure them that their data will be secure and
easily accessible."
Mangosoft, Inc. of Westborough, Mass., develops Internet business products and services. In a
separate release, Mangosoft recently launched The Mangomind(SM) Business Internet File Service(TM),
the first and only robust, multi-user Internet file sharing service designed for secure
business-to-business communications. The Mangomind service combines the inherent benefits of the
Internet with the familiarity of Microsoft Windows(R) to deliver a secure method for multiple users
to access, share and store files.
"As the leading managed storage services company, StorageNetworks has developed the type of product
that is critically important to the delivery of Mangosoft 's secure business Internet products and
services," said Dale Vincent , CEO of Mangosoft . "With this week's launch of Mangomind, business

platform for managing and automating two-way customer interactions over time, across any marketing
channel. Revenio Dialog enables companies to build stronger, more profitable relationships with
their customers through dialog marketing. The resulting customer experience is designed to build
loyalty and lifetime value with highly personalized, relevant and timely communications across the
entire customer lifecycle.
"As a fast-growing business, we were looking for a storage and back-up partner that could provide
the scalability and flexibility to support our rapid growth," said Chip Correra, vice president of
professional services at Revenio. "StorageNetworks' DataPACS and BackPACS are the best-of-breed
solutions in the marketplace, making them the obvious choice."
