Mangosoft To Penetrate High Growth Korean Market

Company Announces Strategic Alliance with Kacom Inc. to Launch Cachelink Pro to Speed Internet Access for Korean Businesses

Westborough, MA - March 7, 2001: Mangosoft, Inc. (Nasdaq: BB: MGOF), developers of Internet business enabling software and services, today announced a strategic alliance with Kacom, Inc., a leading Korean systems integrator and IT consulting organization. Kacom will develop and launch a localized version of Mangosoft's Cachelink Pro Web caching software to serve the rapidly growing Korean Internet market for businesses, schools, cybercafes, and other organizations looking to maximize Internet access speed and bandwidth.

Results in a September 2000 report published by NetValue (www.netvalue.com), a French Internet measurement company, demonstrated that "Korea is fast becoming the Internet hot spot of Asia." According to the report, "42 percent of Koreans had connected to the Internet in August 2000, second only to Singapore, and ahead of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China."

Cachelink Pro is the only software-based, LAN-wide Web cache product designed to significantly increase the speed and performance of Internet access for any size organization. Cachelink Pro works by allowing all users on the network to share Web content stored in each local PC's browser cache (the memory computers use to store Web content). Users can then download previously viewed Web pages or files from the cache on the local network, which is much faster than going out to the Internet to download the same Web page. Users of Cachelink no longer have to wait for a site to download; it's available instantly and therefore allows them to work instead of wait.

Kacom will combine Cachelink software with their customer's PCs to deliver a powerful, easy-to-administer solution that produces immediate results and requires no additional training to use. The company will also provide translation and marketing services to localize Cachelink content and speed market entry.

"Companies in Europe and Asia are suffering from bandwidth issues and looking for alternatives to help them maximize the speed of their Internet connection and improve their business model," said Chris Kim, chief executive officer of Kacom. "Cachelink provides a cost-effective software solution for improving Web access versus expensive caching hardware solutions. We believe Cachelink can make an immediate impact in South Korea."

"The agreement with Kacom represents a significant extension of our channel program outside North America," said Doug Edwards, Mangosoft vice president of sales. "We see great opportunity for marketing Cachelink outside of North America given the growing Internet usage and the local Internet access challenges. We are continuing to look for strong IT solution provider partners, like Kacom, throughout Europe and Asia."

About Cachelink

Cachelink, Mangosoft's software-based Web cache product, dramatically improves Internet and intranet performance by transparently linking the browser caches of computers on a company's local network into a single large cache pool. The result is significantly increased Internet access speed and increased available bandwidth. Cachelink achieves this without requiring additional hardware or complicated system administration.
