FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mangosoft Launches Mangomind 3.0 Business Internet File Service
New version extends online workgroup collaboration to database applications; enhances file access and user privacy controls.
San Jose, CA - February 19, 2002:
Mangosoft Inc. (OTC: BB: MGOF), a developer of Internet enabling
business software solutions, announced today at the RSA Conference 2002, in San
Jose, CA, that it has launched version 3.0 of its Mangomind Business Internet File
Service. In addition to support for Microsoft Office documents, Mangomind 3.0
allows online workgroup collaboration on Windows database applications, such as
financial services, contact management, calendars, appointment scheduling, and
project management software packages
The Mangomind service creates a secure virtual office where geographically
dispersed workgroups can access information, from anywhere at anytime, and
collaborate privately with remote team members.
"Mangomind 3.0 and the ability to share database applications provides a
tremendous productivity boost to our sales process," said Greg Baber, CTO of the
Newtown, PA-based Index Pricing Group. "Our sales team uses ACT!
(R)
as our customer contact database and we typically synchronize updates to the
database from our internal and external sales people on a weekly basis.
By working on the ACT database online on our Mangomind 3.0 drive, our internal
sales people in Houston, as well as individuals in our corporate headquarters,
can now work together on the database in real time and always have access to
the most up to date customer information and sales commentary. As a result,
we can improve support to both our customers and external sales team."
Baber continued: "Moving forward, we hope to expand our use of Mangomind to
other database applications, like QuickBooks
(R)
, for working on financial information."
In addition to multi-user online database collaboration, new features in Mangomind 3.0 include:
Improved file synchronization - Mangomind 3.0 provides offline file access
control to ensure that workgroup members always have access to the most up-to-date files.
Enhanced User Privacy - Mangomind 3.0 allows user identities to remain confidential.
Combined with folder and file access permissions, this feature enables users to set
up multiple discrete workgroups on a single drive.
General Service Improvements - Mangomind 3.0 also includes a number of user interface,
interoperability, and performance improvements.
"Because Mangomind now supports the most popular Windows business database packages
in addition to standard Microsoft Office applications, we can easily integrate
Mangomind into almost any office environment," said Doug Edwards, Mangosoft's
Vice President of Sales.
Mangomind uses RSA Security"s BSAFE
(R)
128-bit encryption technology to create
a client-to-client secure channel offering remote document access, multi-user file
sharing, online file storage, offline access to files, and secure messaging.
Mangomind"s end-to-end encryption secures files both in transit over the Internet
and in storage on our servers - only authenticated users hold the keys to decrypt
their files. All of these technologies are seamlessly integrated with Microsoft Windows,
delivering the ultimate in ease of use. Mangomind supports all Windows platforms.
Mangomind Pricing
Mangomind Workgroup MSRP (manufacturers suggested retail price) is $29.95 for a single drive
for up to 5 users with 50 MB of managed, online storage. Pricing for the Mangomind
Enterprise hosted service and licensed software is available upon request.
