Manually Configuring Your Browser to Use CacheLink
Manually Configuring Your Browser to Use CacheLink
In general, you can manually configure a browser to use CacheLink by configuring it in exactly the same way as you would configure the browser to use a proxy server. For CacheLink, set the browser to use 127.0.0.1 as the HTTP proxy server address and 8080 as the HTTP proxy server port.
Specific instructions follow for Internet Explorer 5, Internet Explorer 4, Internet Explorer 3, and Netscape 4, 4.5 & 4.6 browsers.
For any other browser, please refer to that browser's documentation for instructions on how to configure it to use a proxy server for the HTTP protocol.
Also, to configure CacheLink to work with another proxy server, run the CacheLink configuration utility, click on the "Advanced" tab, and specify that proxy server's address and port.
